Does OpenDroneKit work offline?

Yes. Planning, processing, detection, measurement and reporting run on your machine. Cloud reconstruction is not implemented: requesting it runs locally and the run reports that it did. An earlier outbound request that sent the imagery path to a configured endpoint was removed source.

The network is needed to install packages and, optionally, to cache basemap tiles before you go.

Can I see maps without signal?

Basemap tiles can be cached for offline use from the Hub’s Offline tiles panel source.

Where does my data live?

In SQLite under a data folder you choose, with geometry stored as GeoJSON text. PostgreSQL with PostGIS is optional, for multi-user deployments source.

Does it need a GPU or an account?

Neither. A GPU matters only for dense reconstruction (CUDA COLMAP) and training models source. There is no account, licence key or sign-in. This website follows the same rule: no analytics and no cookies.
